Join us and Street Poets for the first Open Mic of 2017. 

The general theme of this open-mic will be "POWER."
You are invited to claim, flex or celebrate your own. To reflect on the nature of power or on the many kinds of power we find in the world - from brute bullying force to the power of community and mass protest to the subtler less visible energies that shape and shift our world.

This is an invitation to claim the power to tell your own story, to bear witness to the world around you, and to stand up and be heard in the face of ignorance and injustice.

For those who are interested in performing on this day, sign-ups are at 6pm - please be considerate of other performers. It would be appreciated if you keep your piece to a maximum of 3 minutes.
